Hood Canal Weekend

This past weekend we got together with a group of WSU friends and their spouses and children to celebrate our friends Hillary and Robert's announcement of having a baby. In years past this same group of Cougar Alum would gather on Hood Canal to celebrate... well just to celebrate. Its been a number of years since we've all been back to the canal and this is the first time we've all had our spouses and kids. What a great reason to get together; so to Hillary and Robert, CONGRATULATIONS!

We all had a great time! Thanks to those who traveled from long and far to get to the canal.

And a BIG THANKS to my parents, Tim and Judy for opening up their house to all of us.

Big Timber Visit

Over the 4th of July weekend we went to Montana to see Alayne's family. We had a great time riding horses and four wheelers, shooting some guns and just hanging out and enjoying the warm weather. It was great to see Alayne's parents and watch the kids have so much fun playing and riding horses. Thanks to Paxton for taking us on a great ride/walk (for Alayne) up into the mountains.

Here are a few photos:

Thank you to Bruce and Louise for a wonderful weekend we all had a great time and are looking forward to our next visit. The kids have not stopped talking about riding Butch and the 4 Wheeler!

New Washington State Cell Phone Law

Effective today, July 1, 2008, Washington State has begun a new law making it illegal to hold your cell phone to your ear and talking while you drive a automobile.

As many are looking for a "hands free" solutions they come to realize that there can be a significant cost to purchasing a "hands free" device.

Many might look to acquire a blue tooth device such as one shown below

This will costs anywhere from $30- $100 depending on the item you purchase

However some are becoming more creative as they look for a less expensive option and here is one example. As you can see for less than nickel you can purchase a rubber band and you are set to go.

Big Tim showing off his new "hands free" set up as he is talking with his friend Tex who is just as "thrifty" as Tim.

And for those of you who know Alex's dad you know that he is all for saving a buck whenever and wherever he can. Nicely done dad!
